PERFORMANCE METHOD

RESISTANCE TO PRESSURE / LEAKING / NUMBER OF STARTING TIME / FLOW / LIFT JOINING /OIL-PROOF TEST OF PLASTIC MATERIALS / OIL PROOFNESS OF CONNECTIONS / OPERATION /FATIGUE / LOW TEMPERATURE / BENDING

PRESSURE RESISTANCE TEST

*Pressure resistance test shall be conducted on the discharge hose. Fitting a plug for blocking to the end of discharge hose, a water pressure of 0.2kg/cm2 (gauge) shall be applied for 1minute and inspection, be made on whether or not it can withstand it.

NUMBER OF STARTING TIME

*For test of number of starting times, kerosene shall be charge  in a 18liter can or drum can and  the operating cylinder, be operated after inserting the pump in other to check the number of  operating times before kerosene runs out automatically.

OIL PROOFNESS OF CONNECTIONS

*Cutting the connection of pump, oil proofness test shall be conducted as follows.

(1)Pump connection shall be immersed in No.1 KEROSENE (oil temperature 20 5'c) stipulated in Japaness Industrial Standard JIS K 2203 (KEROSENES) for 24 hours.
(2)Then, pump connection shall be taken out from the kerosene, joining test stipulated in Item shall be conducted. But, it shall weight 3kg.

OIL PROOF TEST OF PLASTIC MATERIALS

*Test shall be conducted as follows on the plastic materials of such parts as discharge hose, suction pipe, operating cylinder, body, vane, vane case, flange and such parts touching oil.

(1)The test sample shall be prepared in such a way that the weight is approx. 5g.

(2)After immersing the test sample in No.1 Gasoline stipulated in the Japaness Industrial Standards JIS 2201 (Gasoline-s for Industrial Use), it shall be left as it is for 24 hours in the atmosphere and calculation, be made on the changing ratio of weight from the following equation.

                                          WEIGHT AFTER  -  WEIGHT  BEFORE   X   100  RATIO (%)

                                             TESTING(g)             TESTING(g)

WEIGHT CHANGING   = ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                                                              WEIGHT BEFORE TESTING

FATIGUE TEST

*For fatigue test, water shall be put in a 18liter can or drum can shown in Table 5 and it shall be inserted in such a way that suction pipe and discharge hose can enter it together. After operating the operating cylinder 1000 times continuously at a speed of approx 45 times per minute.

LOW TEMPERATURE TEST

*For fatigue test, water shall be put in a 18liter can or drum can shown in Table 5 and it shall be inserted in such a way that suction pipe and discharge hose can enter it together. After operating the operating cylinder 1000 times continuously at a speed of approx 45 times per minute.

LEAK TEST

*In the case of manual type pumps, a blocking plug shall be fitted to the tip end of the discharge hose and air of gauge pressure of 0.1kg/cm shall be supplied from the suction pipe and inspection, be made on whether or not there is any leaking in water for 15 seconds.
FLOW TEST

 (1) As illustrated in Fig., a container for receiving flown out kerosene shall be placed on a balance. The lift shall be 400mm for such kind of pumps as A8, A10, A14, C10 and 900mm for B14 and B17. Then, the pump shall be operated (in the case of manual type, the operating cylinder shall be operated. In the case of battery type, the switch shall be turn on.)
Measurement shall be made on the length of time required for flowing out of approx. 500g of kerosene at a maximum  flowing condition and calculation,  be made on flow from  the following equation.

                           (   FLOW(g)                                 60    )            1

FLOW(L/mm) =  -----------------------------------------   X   ----------    X     --------
                          TIME REQUIRED FOR                 1000               A
                           FLOWING OUT(s)

        Where,
  A : Specific gravity of kerosene(0.8)

LIFT TEST

*For lift test, water shall be put in a 18 liter can or drum can shown in table 5 and then, a pump be inserted into it. As
illustrated in Fig., the discharge hose shall be fixed vertically and pump, be operated (In the case of manual type, the
operating cylinder mast be operated and in the case of battery type, the switch shall be turned on) in order to check
whether or not water runs out from the tip end of the discharge hose.
JOINING TEST

*For joining test, one side of the connection of pump shall be fixed and suspended as shown in Fig. and a weight
of static load shown in Table shall be suspended from the other end for 5sec in order to check whether or not it
is seperated.
BENDING TEST

*Bending test shall be conducted on the discharge hose. Applying a test sample to the test mold shown in Fig.inspection shall be made on whether or not there is any break or crushing visually.
